About Us
MOMS Club® of Columbia-East, MD was formed in July 2007. As the town of Columbia has grown over the years, so has the MOMS Club! We were originally part of the Clarksville/Columbia chapter, and now we have two chapters in our community to serve the needs of our members. Our club includes mothers within the Columbia area whose homes fall east of Route 29 in zip codes 21045 and 21046. Although we are a new chapter, we have a lot of members who have been involved with MOMS Club for many years. That just shows what a great organization MOMS Club is! It also shows how committed our members are to keeping the chapters at a manageable number so that every mom feels involved and connected.
The MOMS Club of Columbia-East is one of over 2,000 chapters of the International MOMS Club which has more than 100,000 members. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. For information on the international organization or to find chapters in other areas, please visit www.momsclub.org.
One of the important tenets of MOMS Club is that caring for children should not isolate a woman from her community. Children are welcome at all of our events. Conversely, we also know that moms need support, no matter what the ages of their children. Mothers of school age or older children are also welcome.
Joining the MOMS Club is easy! Just complete our New Member Application and send it along with annual dues of $20. Our dues cover our administrative costs such as meeting space, speakers, publishing a newsletter and advertising. Contact us for your application.
The goals of MOMS Club are simple:
Provide a support group for stay-at-home and part-time working mothers
Provide a forum for topics of interest to our members
Perform at least one service project a year to help children in our community
