Per our by-laws, the MOMS Club® of Columbia-East, MD is to perform at least one service project per year and we strive to exceed this every year! We have an active service project committee and we plan many projects throughout the year.
Our service projects include but are not limited to:
Donate baby supplies to a local women's shelter
Donate new toys for local children in need
Participate in Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure
Donate to local charities
Participate in the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program to bring the holidays to two needy area families
Donate to MOMS Club® Mother-2-Mother Fund®
Send letters and care packages to military personnel serving overseas
Because we are a service-oriented organization, we rely heavily on member participation in various volunteer activities and committees. We ask that each member participate in three activities a year which may include, but are not limited to: Help organize a monthly meeting or annual event
Organize a field trip
Host a calendar activity
Help with at least one of our service projects
Participate as an Activity Head
