Service
Per our by-laws, the MOMS Club of Columbia-East, MD is to perform at least one service project per year and we strive to exceed this every year! We have an active service project committee and we plan many projects throughout the year.
Our service projects include but are not limited to:
- Donate baby supplies to a local women’s shelter
- Donate Back-to-School clothing to a local charity
- Decorate and donate cookies to a local charity
- Participate in local charity walks
- Send letters and care packages to military personnel serving overseas
- Donate to MOMS Club® Mother-2-Mother Fund®
Because we are a service-oriented organization, we rely heavily on member participation in various volunteer activities and committees. We ask that each member participate in three activities a year which may include, but are not limited to:
- Host a calendar activity
- Help clean up after our monthly meeting
- Volunteer to provide a Sunshine meal to a mom celebrating a new birth, or in a time of need
- Help with at least one of our service projects
